Chan Eu Imm has taken on a host of editorial roles since joining MediaCorp in 2006, from on-camera to producing and reporting assignments.
Eu Imm currently presents the news segment for Channel NewsAsia's morning show, AM Live! It is one of the channel’s most watched programmes with a mix of hard news, 'live' interviews and analysis on current events and issues. Other news programmes that she has produced and presented include Primetime Asia, Asia Today and The World Today. She has also presented the nightly News5Tonight on MediaCorp's mass channel, Channel 5.
Apart from news programmes, Eu Imm has also hosted programmes of different genres like I Get Paid To, an info-educational series, and Get Rea!, investigative programme. She has also produced 360, a "live" studio interview-driven programme focused on current and breaking news topics.
As a reporter, Eu Imm has covered major events like the 2011 Singapore Election and ASEAN Summits. One of her most memorable was in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, where she ventured deep into the heart of the Irrawaddy Delta to report on the lives of locals. Eu Imm was also "live" on location for the opening of Singapore's two integrated resorts, Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands.
Eu Imm graduated in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College, a liberal arts women's college in the United States. When not at work, Eu Imm enjoys reading, indie music and attending concerts. |
