Lynlee presents News 5 Tonight, the English-language evening news show, produced by MediaCorp’s News Division, for the mass entertainment channel, Channel 5. Her responsibilities include producing stories and reporting on Singapore issues for Channel NewsAsia. One of her recent projects was to produce stories on the lead up to Malaysia’s 2008 General Election and to present segments of the ‘live’ show on election night.

Lynlee has worked for Singapore television news for over a decade. She honed her skills as a journalist and producer, in print and multimedia, before venturing into presenting. She was the regional editor for Internet pioneer RealNetworks' Asia Pacific content aggregation site in 2003.

She graduated from Australia’s Deakin University in 1999 with a degree in Media Studies, and went on to complete an MA degree in International Communication at Macquarie University in Sydney.

Away from the camera, Lynlee enjoys stirring up her creative juices in the kitchen. The former piano teacher is also a film and music buff.

Fluent in Mandarin and Malay, Lynlee also speaks a smattering of German and a few Chinese dialects. She hopes to take a crack at learning another language in the not-too-distant future.
