Nina E. Varghese presents MediaCorp TV’s daily news programme, News5 Tonight, on Channel 5. She also presents Channel NewsAsia’s daily news shows. She enjoys bringing Singaporeans a round-up of the news that affects them at the end of their work day. She also hosts a current affairs programme on Channel NewsAsia, I, Journalist, which uses citizen journalists.

As a MediaCorp Scholar, Nina began her career in media straight out of university. Prior to presenting, she was a news producer, writing on international affairs including the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and Thailand's political coup in 2006.

Nina joined Channel NewsAsia in 2003 after completing a double degree in Economics and Political Science at Wellesley College.

Born in Boston, Nina divided her childhood between Singapore and the United States.

She has a fanatical love for her favourite sports teams --the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. She also loves running and trying new restaurants with her family!
