October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
For women diagnosed with the disease, having the most advanced medical treatment is only one aspect of coping with breast cancer. Doctors say support provided by family, friends or a support group is also key to helping patients face the illness with a positive attitude. In the first of our two-part special on breast cancer, we speak to Dr Lim Siew Eng from the National University Hospital and cancer survivor Wendy Tsai, about the importance of finding strength in others.
