Gyu Don


Ingredients:

   
     

For Gyu-don Ni Shiru:
50ml dashi
50ml mirin
50ml shoyu
50ml sake
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp ginger juice

(Serve 1)
For Gyu-don:

¼ white onions, thinly sliced
100gm shirataki
2 shiitake mushroom, thinly sliced
100gm sirloin beef, thinly sliced
100ml gyu-don ni shiru
Japanese cooked rice

 

   

Method:

For Gyu-don Ni Shiru:
Mix the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat for a few minutes.

Use immediately or cool completely before storing.

For Gyu-don:
Heat up a little oil in a frying pan and sauté onions until soft.

Add shirataki and shiitake and briefly sauté.

Add beef slices and continue to stir-fry until the meat is no longer red.

Add sauce and let it simmer for another 1-2mins.

Fill up the bowl with cooked rice and pour cooked beef over it.
