Chef Milind is the current Chef/Director of his newly launched restaurant “The Song Of India” at Scotts Road Singapore. He conceptualized, design and run the operation of the restaurant touted as “a destination restaurant for Singapore”.
Luxuriously designed from the entrance, the restaurant resides in a black and white colonial bungalow. Housed with paintings of reputed artists, the restaurant doubles up as an art gallery where the paintings are for sale.
Chef Milind has a huge fan following for the past 4 years here and the restaurant opening was eagerly anticipated by the connoisseurs and the media. It received rave reviews from all major media and diners alike.
The menu offers an eclectic mix of designer Indian dishes and traditional favourites made with spices freshly imported from India. Working together with an award winning sommelier, a fine wine list has also been drawn up to compliment his specialties.
Previously, Chef Milind spent some time around regions in India. At the same time he handpicked some of the best chefs to join his restaurant here in Singapore.
He was invited during the recent ‘World Gourmet Summit 2006’ to showcase his cuisine along with world chefs at the “Meet the Stars’ reception and ‘Barbeque Nite’.
Chef Milind first arrived on the Singapore food scene in 2002 as the Group Executive Chef of Rangmahal group - A chain of fine dining restaurants in Singapore and Malaysia.
He has since enhanced the Indian cuisine in new dimensions. This led him to win many awards such as ‘Chef of the year- 2005’ and ‘Asian Chef of the year 2005’. |
