Some people call him the Bruce Lee of Korea, because of his great body and of course good looks.
He was also named the Most Beautiful Man in Asia by online voters, and he has also earned the title as one of the sexiest man in Korea.
It's his sixth year now in the business, and if you compare that to your other popular stars like Bae Yong Jun or Jang Dong gun, Kwon Sang Woo's stardom seems like it was almost an overnight success.

The famous Korean drama "Jewel in the Palace" has made quite an impact in the region, owing to a great storyline, splendid acting from the cast, as well as an interesting peek in traditional Korean culture and royal cuisine.
Actress Yang Mi-kyung, well known for her performance in the popular drama as Lady Han or fondly known as 'Han Sang Gong'; mentor to leading character, Jang Geum played by actress Lee Young Ae; was recently in Singapore.
She spent some time talking to Suzanne Jung about Korean food, culture and the drama. |

Securing the interview was the biggest obstacle.
Lee Young Ae is a big star, and from my experience, big stars usually decline interviews, or more accurately, their PR managers decline the interviews.
Lee has captured the hearts of many and there are millions of fans in Asia who are just dying to meet her, so publicity wise, there was nothing more I could offer.
However, the real purpose of this interview was to see the real personal side of Lee apart from the on-screen glamour persona we are accustomed to.

Appearing on the November cover of the Asian edition of magazine TIME, you could say Jang Dong Gun is the poster boy of Korean entertainment, even more so than his fellow actor Bae Yong Jun in some ways.
Blessed with good looks, height and good role (Majimak Seungbu - The Last Match), he was instantly recognised and so from there, it was non-stop to stardom.

She’s been our favourite ‘Sassy girl’ since that movie was released some five years ago.
Today, the nickname still follows her around, and Jeon Ji Hyun, for her part enjoys that moniker.
Jeon was every bit I imagined her to be.
What we see on screen is Jeon herself. I suppose she studies the roles very well, and makes it her own. She feels quite familiar even though this is your first face-to-face meeting.
