Hi, I’m Steve Morris.
Today we’ll be talking about gentleness as a virtue and how to practice it.
Our lives are so busy with confrontation and conflict (that) we get toughened up.
When we get tough, we use tough words. Words can hurt just as hard as hands.
We need to soften our touch and soften our words to be gentle around those that we care for.
To be gentle is to practice harmony throughout our lives. Gentleness can be a good habit.
To replace a bad habit, we hit the reset button.
Placing your hand on your heart to establish the mind-body connection, rubbing it gently, we say, even though I’m sometimes fierce and mean, and I’ve lost my patience and I get irritated, today I choose to be gentle.
I’ll be gentle in my words and thoughts. Repeat that twice and then you can put it into action. Now that you say it, you can play it. |
