Our mouths are busy places, with millions of bacteria constantly on the move. Some of these bacteria are harmless, but others attack our teeth and gums.
We have all experienced sore gums before - sometimes even bleeding, but we tend to brush it off as normal to bleed once in a while. But scientists are now warning us that we might be overlooking important signs that suggest the initial stages of gum disease.
