In the third season of this well-loved series, Asia’s Best Kept Secrets goes thematic! And we spread our footprints to more secluded countries such as Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
From ancient cities to almost-forgotten villages, from bizarre festivals to rare talents, from breathtaking sights to little miracles, the programme takes the road less travelled to bring you some of these uncommon places in Asia - known only to locals, and extolled with pride from the people who are guardians of these secrets.
This season, we indulge in some indigenous food beloved by the people – from a feast for the Korean royalty, to a mountain brew in the highlands of Ladakh, India; meet some very interesting people spinning tales of the land they love – from a fabric artist living by the edge of a forest in Kyoto, to a star elephant in Phnom Penh; meet some royal descendents in India and China; witness the rich harvest of festivals unique to Asia – from the Pagoda Festival in Myanmar to the dare-devil tribute of the Yunnan Lishu tribe to their Gods; and last but not least, take in some breathtaking sights across Asia.
Catch it every Saturday at 10.30pm Singapore time.
