Spectacular Punggol 'waterfall'
Rainwater run off from the large open field beside Edgedale Green at Punggol 21+ resulted in a spectacular waterfall at the basement carpark on 18 Nov 07, 1630 hrs.
A regular occurance in the barely 1 year old new estate, Sunday's flood has been the most devestating. Disappointingly, no action has been taken by the authorities thus far.
The flood level rose above the tyre rims and those sport cars with lowered suspensions have their undercarriage utterly soaked.
Residents were shocked when they take the lifts to the basement as the lobbies were all flooded to ankle level. |
Leaky Bus
Shows the persistent leak above my seat (TIBS Bus 106, 8.30am on 31 Oct). Even inserting a tissue paper didn't stop the leak much. The person seated a seat in front of me (see Video 005) got it much worse than me when a stream of cold water gushed down to his head forcing him to change seat. It was raining that morning so I suspect that the bus's roof must have been leaking or the aircon vent was malfunctioning. It was a most unpleasant experience being wet and freezing cold thanks to the super strong blast of the aircon. |
