SEOUL: A tourist died on Friday from severe burns sustained in a blaze at an indoor shooting range in South Korea, becoming the ninth Japanese visitor killed in the fire, hospital authorities said.

The 37-year-old Ryohei Harada died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and cardiac arrest despite treatments including skin grafting, a spokesman from Hana Hospital said.

His death brought the toll in the November 14 blaze to 14.

Two other Japanese tourists were injured and one, 37-year-old Akira Shimata, is still in critical condition, the spokesman said.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. President Lee Myung-Bak has called for a thorough investigation and urged South Koreans to be more careful about safety.
