JAKARTA - A moderate 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island on Saturday, US geologists said, although there was no immediate indication of a tsunami.
The quake struck at 9:59 pm local time (1459 GMT) and was relatively shallow, with a depth of 35 kilometres (22 miles), the US Geological Survey said.
The epicentre was 190 kilometres west of the port of Sibolga, in North Sumatra province.
