JAKARTA: Indonesia called off a tsunami alert Thursday, the fourth issued in less than 24 hours following a series of massive quakes off the west coast of Sumatra, the meteorology office said.

"The tsunami alert has been lifted," it said in a telephone text message, lifting the alert about an hour after it was issued. - AFP/ac
