ISLAMABAD - Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said Wednesday that the date for parliamentary elections would be decided by November 14, an official said.

"A decision will be taken by the 14th of November," Deputy Information Minister Tariq Azeem quoted Aziz as telling a meeting of ruling party lawmakers.

President Pervez Musharraf also addressed the meeting, telling legislators: "I have listened to the opinion of MPs, now we will decide. We want the deviation from the election schedule to be kept as little as possible." - AFP/ir
