BANGKOK - Anti-government protesters Wednesday said new elections would not solve Thailand's bitter political crisis and refused to end their occupation of Bangkok's international airport.
"The solution is not the dissolution of parliament. If premier Somchai (Wongsawat) resigns, then we will talk again about whether we will negotiate," top protest leader Pibhop Dhongchai said at Suvarnabhumi airport.
"Anyway, the PAD will continue staying at Suvarnabhumi airport," he said, referring to the People's Alliance for Democracy movement.
