SEOUL : South Korean police arrested a man who crashed his car into the gates of a noodle factory after being refused an apology for alleged food impurities, the Korea Times reported Thursday.

The man arrived Tuesday at the front gate of the factory in the southern city of Busan and asked the janitor to call the product quality manager, the paper said.

When his request was denied, he rammed his car into the gate and broke it down.

The angry consumer told police that his four-year-old daughter had fallen ill because of impurities in the noodles. "This wouldn't have happened if the firm's manager had apologised," he was quoted as saying.
