BANGKOK : Thailand's health authorities on Saturday reported two more deaths from H1N1 flu, raising the country's total to seven, as the number of confirmed cases passed 1,800.

A 37-year-old woman from the western province of Ratchaburi died from the influenza A(H1N1) virus on Friday night, a day after being admitted to hospital, deputy health minister Manit Nopamornbodi told reporters.

Separately, a 30-year-old man from Bangkok died in hospital on July 1, five days after first suffering symptoms, the health ministry said.

The ministry confirmed 134 new cases on Saturday, bringing Thailand's total to 1,845.

Worldwide there have been over 70,890 cases of swine flu confirmed, with a death toll of over 300, according to the World Health Organization.
