Changes at IE Spore, CCS and A*STAR

SINGAPORE: The Chief Executive Officer of trade promotion agency, IE Singapore, Chong Lit Cheong will retire at the end of the year.

He has spent 25 years in the public sector.

His position will be taken over by Mr Teo Eng Cheong, currently the Chief Executive of the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS).

Mr Teo will be appointed as CEO Designate of IE Singapore on October 1st and will take over as CEO, IE Singapore on January 1st next year.

Taking over the helm from Mr Teo at CCS will be Ms Yena Lim, Managing Director of the Agency for Science, Technology & Research.

Succeeding Ms Lim will be Professor Low Teck Seng, A*STAR's Deputy MD (Research).

The appointments at A*STAR will take effect from October 1. - CNA/fa
