Cycling: No Tour of Italy for Armstrong

PARIS : Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and his RadioShack team will not use May's Tour of Italy as a tune-up for this year's 'Grand Boucle'.

The American and his team will instead race the Tour of California.

The Giro, which runs from May 8 starting in Amsterdam and finishes on May 30, will feature 22 other teams from 13 countries.
