MELBOURNE: Italian Jarno Trulli lost third place in the Australian Formula One Grand Prix to Lewis Hamilton for overtaking during a safety car period, race stewards said Sunday. Stewards imposed a 10-second stop-go penalty on Trulli and ruled that since the offence in his Toyota occurred during the last five laps of the race that 25 seconds would be added to his elapsed race time. As a consequence, Trulli was relegated from third to 12th, enabling world champion Hamilton to move from fourth to third place. Britain's Jenson Button led a one-two Brawn GP finish with teammate Rubens Barrichello in the season-opening Australian GP. Stewards also ruled that German Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel would drop 10 grid places in the next race in Malaysia next weekend for causing a collision with BMW-Sauber's Robert Kubica in the final laps of the race.
