TBILISI - Georgian opposition leader Levan Gachechiladze called for a street protest Sunday against what he said was an attempt by incumbent Mikheil Saakashvili to falsify the result of a presidential election.

Gachechiladze said in comments shown on Rustavi 2 television that he had won the poll and that he wanted "all Georgia to come together at 2:00 pm on Rike Park tomorrow in order to keep our victory and to celebrate our victory."
