SKorean president ends visit to China with tour of quake-hit Sichuan

DUJIANGYAN, Sichuan : South Korean President Lee Myung Bak ended his four-day visit to China with a tour of the quake-hit Sichuan province.

The South Korean leader is the first foreign head of state to tour the quake-hit areas. Upon his arrival in Sichuan province on Friday, President Lee headed to Dujiangyan, where he saw the devastation caused by the earthquake.

The Korean government has already provided some US$3 million worth of cash and relief aid to China. An additional US$2 million worth of aid will also be made available. - CNA /ls
