SINGAPORE : American band The Click Five are no strangers to Singapore and they are returning to the city for their first headline tour on 1 June.

The band will play in six Asian cities as part of the Modern Minds and Great Times World Tour 2008 which starts in Hong Kong on 20 May and wraps up in Kuala Lumpur on 7 June. Singapore will be their fifth stop.

Like all Click Five concerts, the upcoming one at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will be "pretty crazy" as the band promises to "party all night long". Expect songs from the band's second album "Modern Minds and Pastimes" and some new and unreleased ones too.

The last time The Click Five performed in Singapore in October 2007, they were the opening act for the Black Eyed Peas and also did a showcase at Ministry Of Sound. "It felt like the crowd was very welcoming. And I know that you guys were really pumping our single at that time – I think 'Jenny' was the one that was out then – everybody seems to know that and so it definitely felt like we were in the right place," said band member Ethan Mentzer.

In an interview with local radio station 987FM, Mentzer revealed that the boys have been busy with their own projects and have yet to begin rehearsing for the tour. "I've been doing some producing... and I know that Ben [Romans] has been doing song-writing for other artistes in New York and Kyle [Patrick] has been playing in some shows and recording some material. Joe [Guese] has been doing a lot of skiing and Joey [Zehr] has been designing websites so we’re kind of all over the place."

Tickets to The Click Five's one-night only concert in Singapore are on sale at all SISTIC outlets. And if you are still considering whether to go, maybe Mentzer's shameless plug on 987FM will change your mind. - CNA/il
