After days of speculation, pop diva Mariah Carey has finally confirmed her marriage to rapper-actor Nick Cannon.
In an interview with People magazine, Carey, 39, said: "We really do feel we are soulmates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me."
Last week, US media reports said the couple tied the knot in Carey's home in the Bahamas on 30 April. They had neither confirmed nor denied this.
Rumours of an engagement swirled last month after Carey was spotted wearing a white diamond ring on her wedding finger at the world premiere of her movie "Tennessee," in which she plays a waitress.
The US$2.5 million ring looks almost identical to the one Canon had given former fiance Selita Ebanks. He has, of course, denied that the ring was recycled.
The couple started dating after they teamed up on a new video in March.
This is Canon's first marriage while Carey was previously married to record label executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998.
