Actress Liv Tyler and her musician husband Royston Langdon have called it quits after five years of marriage.
After weeks of speculation, the couple have confirmed their separation and said they will remain devoted parents to their three-year-old son Milo.
30-year-old Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, had been spotted without her wedding band at several events and was also reported to be looking for a new apartment in New York.
A spokesperson for Tyler said the split was amicable and the pair hope "their family's privacy be respected at this time."
Tyler and Langdon, a bass guitarist from British rock group Spacehog, tied the knot at a ceremony in the Caribbean in 2003.
The actress who is best known for her role in the "Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy and Armageddon, will next be seen in action-hero blockbuster "The Incredible Hulk," due to be released in US theatres next month.
