The world can expect to welcome not one, but two babies from Hollywood’s hottest couple. Angelina Jolie has confirmed in a television interview, with NBC’s "Today" show, that she is expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt.

The interview with Natalie Morales took place in Cannes where Jolie was promoting her latest movie “Kung Fu Panda” with fellow actor Jack Black.

Black had let the news slip about the twin pregnancy and Jolie confirmed it, adding that she was due in "a few months."

The twins will be Jolie and Pitt’s fifth and sixth children. Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 32, are also parents to adopted six-year-old Cambodian son Maddox, four-year-old Vietnamese son Pax, three-year-old Ethiopian daughter Zahara and biological daughter Shiloh.

Pitt, who has been trying to cut back on his filming commitments to help take care of his constantly growing family, hopes to have the twins "in Los Angeles or New Orleans" unlike Shiloh’s birth in Namibia in 2006.

While the couple are thrilled that they are expecting twins, Jolie has been facing some pregnancy complications and had even fainted on an 18-hour flight from Iraq to Los Angeles.

A fellow passenger said, "She started to get swollen ankles and nosebleeds and started having leg cramps then she fainted into her chair.” Brad has been very concerned about her health and has even hired a live-in nurse for their home in Los Angeles.

The pair, who have been dating since they met on the set of the 2005 action-comedy "Mr and Mrs Smith", are rumoured to have made plans to tie the knot near their US home in a private spring wedding.
