NEW YORK : Ben Stiller is going to be laughing all the way to the museum. The 43-year-old funnyman is this year's recipient of the 24th Annual Black-Tie Salute by the Museum of Moving Images (MOMI).

The event which benefits MOMI's education programme, will take place on November 12 in New York. Stiller is expected to receive a tribute from his colleague, and clips from his colourful film career will be presented.

MOMI director Rochelle Slovin said Stiller is "one of the great talents of American entertainment: a memorable actor, an accomplished director and writer, an Emmy Award winner and an innovative producer".

Stiller certainly is proving his worth, directing and starring in this year's critically-acclaimed satire "Tropic Thunder". His busy schedule also includes production of sequels to his hit films "Madagascar" and "Night at the Museum". He knows what he does best - bringing on the laughs.

Tom Cruise, Stiller's co-star in Tropic Thunder was last year's recipient of the honour.
