LOS ANGELES : US actor Bruce Willis is set to make his directorial debut with a psychological drama.
“Three Stories about Joan” revolves around a woman struggling to maintain her grip on reality after suffering family tragedies at three stages of her life.
The cast feature “10,000 BC” star Camilla Belle as the title character and Kieran Culkin, the brother of “Home Alone” child actor Macaulay Culkin.
The Emmy and Golden Globe winning Willis not only directs, he will also play the father of the lead character.
The project is the first film from Willis Brothers Films, a production company recently formed by Willis and his brother, David.
Filming for the show starts next month in Louisiana.
One of Hollywood’s leading men, Willis is most recognised for his role as hero John McClane in the “Die Hard” movie franchise.
His last movie was 2007’s “Live Free or Die Hard”, and his new film “Assassination of a High School President” will release early next year.
