TAIPEI - Jam Hsiao might require surgery after a knocking his head while playing basketball with his pals last Wednesday.
According to reports, the up-and-coming star was tussling for the ball when he hit his head, coming down almost immediately in agony.
Even though the point of contact took place at the top of his head, he reportedly felt a pain at the back of his head which he described as "a vessel that seemed to be ballooning continuously."
Hsiao, an avid sports lover, ignored the persistent throb pain and only mentioned it five days later to his agent who immediately arranged a checkup.
A brain scan did not show any concussion but a neurologist is worried that the impact might cause inflammation and swelling to the brain.
Hsiao is now under medication but might require surgery if the brain fluid starts to leak.
The persistent pain has caused the singer sleepless nights and affected his appetite.
As for basketball, it looks like that off the court for a while.
