SINGAPORE: Could Singapore pop rock trio Electrico be heading to the land of the wallaby again?

According to the band's manager, Marcia Tan, details are still being sorted out, but if things go according to plan, several Singaporean musicians and music industry players will be making their presence felt at the One Movement for Music (OMFM) festival-cum-music market to be held in Perth, Australia, later this year.

OMFM has been touted as the most important music industry event in the southern hemisphere.

This year, confirmed attendees for the pioneering music industry conference and showcasing event include American songwriter Diane Warren (best known for hits including Because You Loved Me and How Do I Live); Seymour Stein, vice-president of Warner Bros Records; and Dave Holmes, Coldplay's manager.

There will also be showcase performances by the likes of Thai pop singer Tata Young, Australia's Old Man River and Japanese electro sensation Tigarah.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, event partner Chugg Entertainment says they are conducting talks with several players from the local industry so that they can feature the musical melting pot that is Singapore.

OMFM happens on Oct 16 to 18.
