SINGAPORE: It's been four years since she won American Idol.
But according to a recent Forbes report, she is the top earner amongst the contest winners from June 2008 to May 17, 2009.
Singer Carrie Underwood, who has gone on to win four Grammys since her Idol win plus other country music awards, is in town for a performance at the official opening of ION Orchard on Friday night.
She tells Channel NewsAsia she is coping quite well with her fame.
She said: "I mean every career comes with its little problems and snags here and there, but it's so much fun. I get to sing. This is my job. I get paid to sing.
"I did that in my shower every single day growing up so it's really amazing to just get to do what I love, and hopefully I can do do that for a long time."
For the full interview with the singer, tune in to The Big Picture this Saturday at 10.20pm on Singapore Tonight. - CNA/de
