HONG KONG : Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse has finally broken his silence on pregnancy rumours surrounding actress wife Cecilia Cheung.
While the actor, who is currently filming movie "Hot Summer Day" with Jacky Cheung and Daniel Wu, did not admit that Cheung was expecting, he did reveal during a press event on Tuesday that there have been “changes in her body”.
When asked if Cheung, 29, was carrying twins, Tse replied, “[We] have not gone for a check up. We have not seen the doctor so I cannot confirm.
“Her body has just started showing signs of change so we have not gone to see the doctor. I will announce the good news when it is confirmed.”
Tse, 29, said that his father, actor Patrick Tse, has eight siblings and Cheung too wants to have a large brood. Her ideal number is five, said Tse.
But while actor enjoys fatherhood, three is enough for him as he is afraid they will not be able to manage with five kids.
When probed about the twins rumours, Tse, who already has a two-year-old son, Lucas, said, “My dad had so many siblings but none of them had twins.”
As for those who are eagerly awaiting Cheung’s comeback, the actress plans to take another year off to be a mother - with or without a new addition.
