BEIJING : Mando-pop group Super Band, which comprises of accomplished musicians Jonathan Lee, Wakin Chau, Luo Da-you and Zhang Zhen-yue, will go their separate ways after their November concerts in Beijing.

The band announced at a media conference on Wednesday that their November 20 and 21 performances at the Capital Indoor Stadium, will be its final shows, reported CRIEnglish.com.

The news comes as no surprise to fans as Super Band had made known when it was first formed in July 2008 that this was a one-off project and would disband after a year.

"But don't call it a breakup," said Lo. "We made the decision the moment we started the band."

"We don't like sad words such as 'dissolve'," the Taiwanese singer-songwriter added. "We agreed in the first place that our cooperation would only last for a year. Now, the mission has completed!"

The idea for Super Band which was founded by Chang, came about during a dinner and took three years to finalise.
