SEOUL : A member of popular South Korean boy band SHINee has been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus, its agency SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

According to SM Entertainment, Jong-hyun caught a cold on Monday and went to a hospital for a check-up. He tested positive for the H1N1 virus and is currently recuperating at home.

Jong-hyun is the fourth K-pop singer to be infected with the virus. SS501's Kim Hyun-joong, 2AM's Jo Kwon and singer K.Will were all reported to have been down with H1N1.

SM Entertainment said SHINee's other members, Min-ho, Tae-min, O-new and Key, will continue promotional activities for their new hit single "Ring Ding Dong", without Jong-hyun.
