Hong Kong: Popular Hong Kong singer-actress has been missing in action for the past few days after a heated argument with her Chinese actor boyfriend Zhang Duo.
The 39-year-old actress was believed to have stormed off after the argument with Zhang, who is eight years her junior, and has been uncontactable since. Calls from her agent as well as Zhang were left unanswered, even her family members are clueless about her whereabouts.
The pair is rumoured to have split as Chan had recently deleted contents on her blog, where she occasionally posts details about her love life.
The break-up comes as a surprise to many as their relationship has always been stable and the couple were even rumoured to have tied the knot last year.
Chan and Zhang met while filming in China in 2007 and began dating secretly. They eventually admitted to their relationship after reporters stumbled upon photos of them vacationing together on their respective blogs.
Chan once told a reporter that she would like to spend the rest of her life with Zhang and hopes to get married before turning 40. - CNA/fa
