SINGAPORE: Wedding preparations are underway for former MediaCorp actress Jacelyn Tay's marriage to her boyfriend of one year Brian Ng.

Tay, 34, told reporters at MediaCorp's "Mind Your Money" forum on Saturday that the exact date will be announced once preparations are complete.

"I hold a very traditional view of marriage and will stay with him (Brian) for life after marriage. You will not find the word 'divorce' in my dictionary," Tay said.

"When I was younger, I believed that you needed to have a pre-nuptial agreement before getting hitched. But later on, I realised that you should trust your partner completely. How do you get married if there is no trust?" she added.

Tay and Ng were first spotted together at celebrity couple Fann Wong and Christopher Lee's wedding in October. Little is known about the groom-to-be except that he is seven years Tay's senior and that he is not from the entertainment circle.

At that time, Tay said she was keen to wed but it was "beyond her control since he (her boyfriend) has not popped the question". It seems that within the span of two short months, Ng has done just that.

Now we can add "decisive and acts fast" to the list of things we know about Ng.
