HONG KONG: Isabella Leong, girlfriend of wealthy Hong Kong businessman Richard Li, has quietly returned to Hong Kong from San Francisco with his seven-month-old son, Ethan.

The mother and son flew to Hong Kong in a private jet three weeks ago to spend Christmas with grand dad, tycoon Li Ka Shing.

Leong, 21, had been seeing 43-year-old Richard Li, Li Ka Shing's second son, for the past two years. The Macau-born former actress and model gave birth to Richard's son in April this year and has become a full-time mother, with no plans for a showbiz comeback.

Richard Li, chairman of Hong Kong telecommunications giant PCCW, had planned to bring both mother and son to Hong Kong in July this year to attend Li Ka Shing's 81st birthday celebration, but had to delay their trip due to the H1N1 flu threat in Hong Kong and his son's tender age.

Richard Li thanked the media for their concern for Leong and her baby in an e-mail message on Sunday, but asked that the pair be left alone while they are in Hong Kong.

Richard had earlier released a picture of a slim Leong and their baby son in April. Hong Kong media reports said Ethan looked very bright and resembled his father in his early years.

Leong was given two luxurious mansions in San Francisco and HK$50 million (S$9 million) in cash after she gave birth to baby Ethan. The Lis had also hired an entourage of care-givers for the little one - five bodyguards, four full-time nannies and a personal attendant - to satisfy his every need.
