SINGAPORE: The prospect for the global economy looks bright, but now the concern is to remain relevant in a highly challenging diverse business environment.
This is the premise of the brand new business-reality series "Sun Tzu - War on Business" produced by Channel NewsAsia. It is inspired by an ancient book on military strategy, written by a Chinese general in the 6th Century BC.
From a traditional family-run clothing business to a centre promoting Chinese culture in Beijing - no company is spared the Sun Tzu treatment, in an effort to invigorate flagging sales.
The series is hosted by James Sun, an LA based entrepreneur, who has tasted his share of fame on the US TV series "The Apprentice".
Mr Sun said: "The main difference of being a contestant on the Apprentice and being a contestant on Sun Tzu is now I get to be in the role of Donald Trump. I get to be tough on the entrepreneurs and tell them what is right or wrong and also not be fired."
Filmed in China, Australia, India and Singapore, "Sun Tzu - War on Business" will be distributed globally by BBC Worldwide.
The series premieres February 9 at 9:30pm Singapore-Hong Kong time, exclusively on Channel NewsAsia.
