BEIJING: Hong Kong actress Christy Chung gave birth to her third daughter Cayla at a hospital in Beijing early Saturday morning.

This is Chung's second daughter with music producer husband Jon Yen. Their first daughter, Jaden, was born in 2008. Chung also has a daughter, 12-year-old Yasmine, from a previous marriage.

Chung, who turns 40 this year, said she was initially worried about Cayla as she came a week later than expected.

When Chung felt the birth pains, her husband whisked her to the hospital but could not find a doctor to treat her, so he took it upon himself to help the nurses deliver the child instead.

"I was waiting in agony but still the doctor did not arrive. My husband was so professional. He directed the nurses to stay calm and helped them deliver the child while holding my hand," Chung said. "I am so proud of him."

Chung was overjoyed when she gave birth to the 3.3 kilogram baby girl but said she will not be having any more children.

"I won't have a fourth child. It is quite good to have three daughters. I don't mind if my children are boys or girls as long as they are healthy. We are very happy, and with the Lunar New Year round the corner, we can get more red packets with three daughters," she said.
