Sony and Spiderman may be spinning up a huge success, but Disney is sure of swashbuckling its way to the box office with the launch in a few weeks of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END.

The success of the first and second Pirates films starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley has Disney already cashing in with Hong Kong's Disneyland transforming its Adventureland into Pirateland.

The Pirate Takeover as it's been dubbed is the first time that Hong Kong Disneyland has created a large-scale themed change in the Park.

"We trust that our guests will be as excited as we are to experience this completely new, first-of-its-kind entertainment experience,” said Jill Estorino, Senior Vice-President, Marketing of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

The latest attraction which includes new shows, rides and even hotels based on the pirate theme, will be part of admission to the themepark and will last all of May through to June 30th.

Giving a pirate's seal to Hong Kong Disney's new attraction recently, was star of the latest in the Pirates movie adventure, Chow Yun Fat, no less.

Chow who visited the Hong Kong attraction with his wife, appears in the upcoming sequel of Pirates of the Caribbean as Chinese Pirate Sao Feng.

The movie which is the follow-up to the record-breaking 2006 hit PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST, will see Singapore being put on the map as the mysterious and exotic haven of Chinese Pirate Sao Feng.

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Gore Verbinski, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END will open May 24 in Singapore, coinciding with the US launch of the movie.

Blending fact with fiction, the movie will see heroes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones’ locker – while the terrifying ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas.
