Taiwan's top model Lin Chiling (picture) may be 32-years-old — an eyebrow-raising number for some in the glamour industry — but the 1.74m-tall leggy beauty shows no signs of slowing down.

She has a role in John Woo's upcoming flick Red Cliff, where she stars opposite Tony Leung.

But when she was cast as teenager Xiao Qiao in the movie adaptation of the classic Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Internet forums were abuzz with brickbats that she was "too old" for the character.

And age was the inevitable topic raised when Lin was in Singapore last week to promote healthcare company Osim's new foot massager uSqueez. "Age is not a problem. As long as you know how to take care of yourself, youth can be eternal," she said.

She told TODAY that unlike some of her model-turned-actress peers, such as Maggie Q or Amanda S, she harbours no Hollywood aspirations.

"Right now, what I need to do most is try my best at what's at hand," she said.

Ask her about her ex-boyfriend, F4's Jerry Yan, and her answer is that love is the most important thing in a woman's life. "It's only when you love yourself that you can face relationships honestly. And from then on, everything can be discussed and sorted out."

And where does she see herself in 20 years' time? Her answer is swift: "A very happy housewife." -
