LOS ANGELES: "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan has settled a lawsuit brought by a former manager who alleged the actress fired him to avoid paying a commission, her lawyer said Tuesday.

The British-born actress, who plays scheming blonde real estate agent Edie Britt in the hit television series, was accused of sacking Rob Lee in late 2004 after he had helped her secure her role in the show, a lawsuit alleged.

However Lee and Sheridan have settled the claim after mediation, the actress's lawyer Paul Sorrell said.

No details of the settlement were available. - AFP/ac
