Hit US sitcom "Ugly Betty" is known for its guest stars and the latest celebrity to grace the set is Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.
In a bid to rebuild her acting career, the troubled starlet has agreed to star in six episodes of the ABC TV series and will make her debut in the show's season finale on May 22. The role will continue in the next season.
According to ABC, Lohan will play "a mean girl from high school who suddenly resurfaces in Betty's life."
Other celebrities who have guest starred in the TV series include Project Runway's Tim Gunn, Victoria Beckham and British supermodel Naomi Campbell.
2007 was a rocky year for Lohan who was arrested for driving under the influence. She served 84 minutes in jail for drunken driving and drug possession charges and was also in and out of rehabilitation programmes.
She was last seen in last year's flop "I Know Who Killed Me," for which she earned two Golden Raspberry awards.
