After the success of Contender Asia, Imagine OmniMedia is back with another sports-related reality show.

The media and mobile ventures company will work with ESPN STAR Sports to develop and produce a reality show to find the next football superstar.

Titled "SportStar Football," the series will be the first reality-based football entertainment series in Asia.

The concept is the brainchild of David Edwards, who is the creator of "RockStar: INXS," the search for a new lead singer for the Australian band.

"With this interactive and entertaining initiative, football fans will have a lot more to look forward to in days to come," said ESPN STAR Sports managing director Manu Sawhney.

No details of a launch date, nor how the series would be structured, have been announced.
