Hei Se Hui Mei Mei join Warner Music

Popular Taiwanese girl-group Hei Se Hui Mei Mei have officially announced that they will be signing on with record label Warner Music after their contract with their previous record label ended.

In order to commemorate the occasion, Warner Music had lined up for the girls a special photo shoot. To make the shoot really memorable, Warner decided to style the girls entirely different from what they are used to. The girls, who are typically used to wearing thick makeup and exaggerated clothing, instead appeared in minimal makeup and basic white tank tops for the shoot.

The message they were trying to convey? The eight girls are putting everything in the past and starting on a clean slate with Warner.

When told how they were going to be styled, the girls were anxious to see the results, but of course, were not without apprehension. The girls said that prior to this, they had always felt a greater sense of security when they applied thicker makeup and wore more stylish and outlandish clothes.

They had never imagined that they would need to undergo such a drastic change when they joined Warner. However, remembering that they were in the hands of the people who had groomed popular boy band, Lollipop, the girls felt more at ease and went ahead with the shoot.

The girls were pleasantly surprised upon seeing the results of the shoot, and could not believe that they were looking at themselves in the pictures.

Inspired by their new image, the girls have expressed that they are now more motivated than ever, and will work even harder than before to gain the recognition and support of the public.

Warner Music, in the mean time, is in the midst of collating songs for their first album. The album is expected be released in summer.

Warner Music says that they will do their best to groom Hei Se Hui Mei Mei and want to surprise everyone with their revamped image, singing and dancing. Warner hopes that the girls will be able to break into the international scene and become Asia’s favourite female pop group.

The girls are now not only rushing up to finish filming for their respective idol dramas, but also attending a ‘secret training’ that Warner has arranged for them. -CNA/os
