SINGAPORE: Fans of Canadian pop punk band Simple Plan and hot American rock band The Click Five would be in for a both a visual and audio treat from the end of this year.

Animax and Peach Blossom Media will produce animated music videos for Simple Plan’s single "I Can Wait Forever" and Click Five’s hit "Summertime", both to premiere on Animax across Asia and online in December 2008.

In addition, the two songs will also feature in "LaMB", Animax Asia’s first original animation production in high definition.

"LaMB" marks both bands’ first-ever involvement in an Asian Production, undertaken by Animax Asia for TV, mobile and online platforms across the region. You can catch mobisodes on your mobile phone from January and on TV when it premieres in February on Animax channels across Asia.

"I Can Wait Forever" from Simple Plan’s self-titled album "Simple Plan" will headline the soundtrack for the multiplatform, multimedia animation project.

Furthermore, Simple Plan’s band members will be part of the movie plot, as an animated band in "LaMB" while The Click Five’s single "Summertime" off their 2007-released album "Modern Minds and Pastimes" will feature in LaMB’s TV, online and mobile properties.

While "LaMB" marks The Click Five’s first-ever involvement in an animation project, it represents Simple Plan’s second and more adventurous venture into animation, having previously performed the theme song for Hannah Barbera Production’s "What’s New, Scooby Doo?"

Owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, Animax Asia is the premiere anime and youth cable channel specializing in the fastest growing entertainment genre- Japanese animation.
