DUBLIN : Irish rocker Bono might have given fans a preview of U2's new album unintentionally when he blasted the songs at home.

A fan wandering outside Bono’s holiday home in France heard the U2 frontman listening to songs from the group's upcoming album and recorded them on his mobile phone.

Four tracks were posted on YouTube, but have since been removed from the video-sharing website due to copyright reasons. However, the previously unreleased songs are reportedly still being circulated via email, the Irish Independent newspaper said.

Neither the group nor the record label has confirmed the report.
