LOS ANGELES: She's blonde, she's hot and she wants your vote. Paris Hilton as president?
As the real US presidential candidates finished off their second debate this week, Hilton has continued her fake presidential bid by releasing a second video online.
This time, the hotel heiress and reality TV star is joined by actor Martin Sheen, "the greatest fake President", who played a Democratic US leader in the TV show "The West Wing".
Hilton discusses her ideas on the economy, the war on Iraq and 'Fo Po', which she explained to a perplexed Sheen as "Foreign policy, silly!"
"Running for fake president is a little daunting," Hilton told Sheen, before the latter went on to dispense some fake advice.
"Being a fake president is a lot harder today than it was when I was a fake president," says Sheen, who has played the American President four times.
She then went on to discuss policies.
"Iraq has a Democratic government that is asking for us to leave," she said. "It seems that we've done our job and we should bring our troops home safely."
On the economy, "this is the biggest depression since 'The Notebook'," she said of the 2004 tear-jerker film, adding that the government should "lower inflated interest rates so it's not impossible for (people) to pay their mortgage."
The 27-year-old heiress said in a statement that she hopes the video, released on the website funnyordie.com, inspires people to consider the issues and vote in the real presidential election.
"I hope that my political opponents take in consideration the points that I have addressed because I feel that they are important and, as well as, that my generation and the new young voters should become more involved with our current issues and speak their voice through voting," Hilton said.
"This is the most important presidential election in decades and voting is the only way that you have a voice for change."
The spoof video is the second to be released by Hilton during the presidential campaign. In the first, which was released online in August, she mocked Republican candidate John McCain and announced her own candidacy, promising she was "like, totally ready to lead".
