LOS ANGELES: It appears that Paris Hilton will soon be dominating primetime television with a new sitcom.

"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest has revealed that he has teamed up with the hotel heiress to develop a scripted series based on her luxurious lifestyle. Hilton will be the star of the show.

“Paris and I are developing a scripted series. And she wants to have fun with that. So I think that this is a very clever show,” Seacrest said.

“Paris is going to star in it. Paris is going to play a very clever and funny Paris Hilton. Some of things that she encounters are really interesting. And if we pepper in a little bit of script, I think it's going to be very funny.”

Can the celebrity socialite act? Well, she certainly seems intent on it, after her recent romantic comedy “The Hottie and the Nottie”.

Hilton’s new reality show “My New BFF” premiered last month in the US, after “The Simple Life” with best friend Nicole Richie concluded its five-season run.

The busy celebutante will also be appearing in “Repo! The Genetic Opera”, which is slated for a US release in November this year.
